Salty Sisters Awards Continued
Skippers’ Hat Challenge
& Top Crew Trophy
2014
Only Salty Sisters who have been awarded their Skipper’s Hat may race. The series takes place in a two-person boat, with a spinnaker, although skippers may opt not to use the spinnaker. All teams of two, drawn initially by lot, are different each race day. Two races are sailed each day, with each Salty skippering once and crewing once. Points awarded for each race, totaled independently for each sailor, determine the winning skipper and winning crew.
Salty Sisters
Non-Racing Awards
These awards are presented at the Annual Meeting in October in recognition of special contributions by individual Salty Sisters to the club and its objectives.
FWSA Racing Awards
These awards are presented to the winners in the various classes of the two major FWSA Regattas held annually. Participants are members of all FWSA member clubs.
FWSA Rainbow Regatta
The Rainbow Regatta for single-handed racing is in the spring and is hosted by FWSA member clubs on a rotating basis. The pram fleet classes are International Optimist Prams (IODs) and Clearwater Optimist Prams (COPs). The third race fleet class is Sunfish. Pram trophies are awarded for IOD and COP teams. A third trophy is for Pram Masters, sailors who must be at least age 60. There is also a Sunfish fleet perpetual trophy.
Pram Masters
Lucas Perpetual Trophy
